Senior Product Engineer

You take a problem someone has with their money and turn it into a feature people trust — from the conversation with the user, through the data model and the interface, to the day it ships and the week after. You lead work rather than wait for it, and you leave the codebase and the team better than you found them.

What you will do - Lead features end to end: discovery, design, build, launch, measure - Set direction on architecture where money and correctness are involved - Mentor other engineers through review, pairing and example - Work directly with the founder on what to build next and why - Keep the product fast, accessible and plain to read

What we look for - Five or more years building production web products, at least two leading them - Deep TypeScript, React and SQL; strong instincts for data integrity - A record of shipping things people use and paid for - Taste: you notice when a screen says too much, and fix it - Experience with payments, ledgers or personal finance is a strong plus
